New Invention Prevents ATM Pin-Code Theft
Four students from the Århus Business College have invented a foolproof way to prevent thieves from get hole of pin numbers from people withdrawing cash from ATMs.
The invention, which won the top prize recently at the Young Enterprise international trade show in Austria, is an innovative screen table, where the numbers between 1 and 9 change positions with each use, unlike an ordinary keyboard where thieves can determine what numbers are being punched by following a person’s finger movements. What’s more, the screen table has a blur feature which makes it difficult to be seen from the side.
