If you are going to drink, choose drinks that are mixed with water to reduce the hangover; e.g. scotch and water or whiskey and water. You can add lime or lemon to improve the taste. Also, it is easier and less notable to alternate your drinks throughout with straight water or change to straight water when you feel that you have had enough and you’re not ready to stop.
