Reader’s Tips On Relieving Constipation

I have a friend who began getting much needed relief from constipation using this recipe she read in a local paper: Mix equal amounts (about 6 ounces each ingredient per recipe) of oat bran, apple sauce and prune juice; mix well; place in tight-lid refrigerator bowl for storage. Each day, take 2-3 tablespoons (you will find your own proper amount in just a few days). I have tasted it and it is not bad at all.

  1. I eat 5-6 prunes daily and this has been helping me a lot the past year, as I had a problem with constipation for a while. Sugar is just not good for the body…we’re trying to cut back!
