Polycarbonate Bottles Removed From Shelves
Water bottles sold under the brand Nalgene, and other polycarbonate containers have been removed from the shelves of a major Canadian retailer, Mountain Equipment Co-op, over worries on the chemical bisphenol A (BPA) used in the making of these hard and transparent plastic containers.
BPA has been found to mimic the female hormone estrogen.
