The Loneliest Searchers Are…
According to Google Trends, a service that reveals which country, city, region and language does the most searches for a particular term, the Irish in Dublin ranked first for searching the word “lonely”, Reuters reported.
Google explains that Google Trends analyzes a portion of Google web searches to calculate how many searches have been done for the terms entered by users (from each city, region or language) relative to the total number of searches done on Google from the same area over a period of time.
Here are some rankings for these words (as of 19 May 2006) :
