Portable Child Airplane Restraint

October 8th, 2007

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Transportation Safety Board and the airlines all agree that the standard airplane seat belt alone isn’t a safe airplane seat for young children.

Now there is a better way! Just carry a CARES in your pocket or purse, install it on the
airplane seat in one minute, and turn any airplane seat into a safe airplane seat for your child!

CARES (“Child Aviation Restraint System”) is the first and only FAA approved harness type child safety device. It is an innovative belt-and-buckle child airplane restraint that attaches directly to the airplane seat belt and makes an airplane seat safe. Children must be at least 1 year old, weigh 22-44 pounds, and be able to sit “front facing” to use CARES.

It was invented by Louise Stoll, a grandmother of nine, after watching her pregnant daughter struggle off a plane carrying a toddler, car seat and diaper bag.
