Beat the heat, stay cool!


  • Avoid the sun from as early as 10am to 4pm. If it is not possible, see Skin care for sun protection tips.


  • Wear loose and light-weight cotton clothes.


  • Walk under shades and use underground bridges.


  • Drink lots of water throughout the day. Water readily passes out as urine so replenish constantly. Thirst is a sign that the body is dehydrated.


  • Eat, drink lots of fresh fruits and juices.


  • Eat cold low-fat yogurt or refreshing mint candies.


  • Place a cold towel (or cold pack) or cold wet tissue over the face or any part of the body for instant relief.


  • Take a vacation to some place cooler.


  • Go swimming.


  • Get a hair cut and feel refreshed!


  • Go to the nearest mall or library where it is air-conditioned.
