How To “Peel” Hard-Boiled Eggs Without Peeling

Tim Ferris, author of the great book, The Four Hour Work Week, reveals a method to remove the egg shelf easily without any peeling:

1. Cover the eggs with water and boil for 12 minutes.

2. Cool the eggs in a bowl of ice water with a teaspoon of baking soda which raises the pH level and reduces adherence.

3. Crack one end of the egg and remove a small piece.

4. Crack the other end of the egg and remove a small piece.

5. Hold the egg in your hand and blow vigorously into the opening on one end, which will expel the egg from its shell from the other end.
