Tips To Beat The Heat And Keep Cool
- Avoid the sun from as early as 10am to 4pm.
- Wear loose and light-weight cotton clothes.
- Walk under shades and use underground bridges.
- Drink lots of water throughout the day. Water readily passes out as urine so replenish constantly. Thirst is a sign that the body is dehydrated.
- Eat and drink lots of fresh fruits and juices.
- Eat cold low-fat yogurt or refreshing mint candies.
- Place a cold towel (or cold pack) or cold wet tissue over the face or any part of the body for instant relief.
- Take a vacation to some place cooler.
- Go swimming.
- Get a hair cut and feel refreshed!
- Go to the nearest mall or library where it is air-conditioned.
