Simple Party Games For Adults And Kids
On Christmas eve, I got my family members to play these simple but absolutely fun games that practically cost next to nothing, well except for the prizes that were given to the winners.
Some of the games are not new but anyhow, I’ve given each game a name:
- Newspaper dressing
What you need: newspapers, scotchtapeHow to play: Get players to choose a model within their team to be dressed up in an evening dress/suit. Give a time limit of 15 minutes.
- Blowing trail
What you need: a long string, a small piece of cardboard or a namecard, markerHow to play: A string is threaded through a hole cut in the middle of the card. The ends of the string can be held up by 2 persons or tied somewhere at eye-level.
Determine the start and end points. Teams compete on getting the card to move the furthest along the string by blowing. At a count of 3, each player blows once.
Get every member of the team to finish the course and use a marker to mark onto the string the card distance travelled, then get the next team to start. The team that blows the card nearest to the end point wins!
Big breaths won’t work but technique will.
- Between the knees
What you need: Pegs, ping pong balls, pens (or any other item you have), a container, e.g. a bowl or boxHow to play: Determine the start and end points. Every team player has to put an item between the knees and walk (without bending) towards the end to deposit into the container placed on the floor. The team that collects the most wins.
For a tiebreaker, get a member from each team to walk with an item that has proven to be the most difficult to ‘hold’. And in our case, it had to be the ping pong ball!
