The Great American Smokeout - Stop Smoking Widgets

The American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout takes place today and the Society is offering new widgets (a.k.a. desktop helpers) to help smokers quit for good.
The Countdown Clock, a downloadable file that sits discretely on your computer desktop, allows you to pick a quit day within 30 days, then counts down to the selected day. Each morning, a new tip is offered to assist you as you prepare to stop smoking. What’s even better is that the Countdown Clock is accessible any time you need it.
The other is the Craving Stopper widget. This widget helps you beat cravings by providing encouragement and tips for 30 days to help you stay smoke free. For example, the Craving Stopper offers a game you can play for two minutes, the time it takes for a craving to subside.
Both the Countdown Clock and the Craving Stopper can link you instantly to the American Cancer Society’s Quitline® callback feature, which can help more than double a person’s chance of quitting tobacco through free and confidential telephone counseling.
