    The word carrot comes from a chinese translation of radish. A basic recipe would involve the frying of radish chunks (made by mixing rice flour, tapicoa flour, water and shredded radish) with eggs, garlic, light or dark soy sauce and spring onion with optional ingredients like prawns, chili or vinegar. Carrot cake is a popular dish in Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
