Is The Color Of Your Car Safe?

April 8th, 2007

A study conducted by researchers at the University of Auckland in New Zealand found that silver cars were 50 percent less likely to be involved in a crash that results in serious injuries, as compared to white cars.
They think it is because silver is reflective and therefore more likely to be visible on the road.

Cars in brown, black and green had an increased risk in serious injury while those in yellow, grey, red and blue did not differ much from a white car.
