Types Of Travel Trailers
Pop-up trailer
- A Pop-up trailer, which is also known as a tent or folding camping trailer, is a camping tent on wheels.
- Such a trailer is smaller and lighter in weight compared to a travel trailer. It offers the joy of tent camping with at-home comforts.
Fifth wheel trailer
- A fifth wheel trailer, which is also known as a Fiver, is a trailer that hitches in the bed of the truck.
- It has a bi-level design where a section of the truck bed is raised, usually designed as a master bedroom.
- The raised section often has a larger window at the rear for a better panoramic view.
- With the bedroom raised, a fifth wheel trailer has more space in the living area.
Truck camper
- A truck camper is a detachable camping unit loaded onto to the bed or chassis of a pickup truck.
- The detachable unit can be set on its own jacks, thereby separating itself from the pickup truck.
- A truck camper has kitchen facilities, shower, toilet and air conditioning.
- It is commonly used for fishing, hunting or backroad trips.
Slide-out options
- Slide-out options allow the trailer wall to extend outward, up to a distance of a meter, at a touch of a button.
- Some trailer models have as many as 4 slide-out options.
